This stuff is GUUUUUDDDDD!!!!!! Had the garlic butter and the mixed seasoning and both were delicious. The meat in the crabs was juicy and plump, nothing cheap about it. When we came in, there was a clean smell. The staff was friendly and service was very fast! Great atmosphere, playing only the greatest hits on the speakers. This is worth the price tag!!!!!

My Hubby and I went Piers Seafood & Grill. The service, atmosphere, and the food were amazing. The sailors boil bag with sauce on the side, crab fries, and Asian Wings was seasoned to perfection. The price match the food, the service was amazing and they encouraged us to take look around. This is a must come see and eat. They also have stage for karaoke

I was a little hesitant to try this place since the last seafood place on 29 was not good. But, I was pleasantly surprised! We went on a Monday evening, it wasn’t busy at all. We were seated promptly, and our server was very friendly, and checked on us throughout. My husband and I both ordered seafood boils with the Piers Sauce (medium spice). The price for the one, two combo (snow crab & shrimp) isn’t bad. My husband got the sailors boil- which was almost double the price, and to me was not worth it. The boils come with potatoes and corn. You cannot substitute for different sides. So, if you want boiled eggs or sausage- they are extra. The Piers sauce was GOOD! Medium spice is still pretty spicy- so be advised. I love spice, and it was enjoyable but I was definitely feeling it. We also ordered Cajun fries- which were decent. (My husband loved them). I hope more people try this place out- and don’t compare it to the other crab place that closed down. We will definitely be back again!

I have not had a seafood broil yet but what I did have was very good. I was pleasantly surprised that someone other than my dad knows how to clean and cook catfish. Service was great! It wasn’t too busy I feel only because it’s new. Those hush puppies and wings as an appetizer were so good I ordered some to go.

10/10!! Dont let one bad experience keep you from trying this place! The Pier Blend sauce was amazing! Very flavorful and well seasoned! Not bland at all! Snow crabs were easy to crack and plentiful. The atmosphere was pleasant. Loved the music selections but couldve been louder. Slightly louder music helps with having a fun "let loose" vibe. The staff were friendly and kind. This restaurant is on par with what a typical seafood boil spot in the Chesapeake region is. It's a seafood boil restaurant that has a wider menu than most. If you're not aware of the culture of seafood boils like Pier 88, Boil Bay, Crafty Crab etc. then don't judge so harsh on something you're not accustomed to. Give it a try, either you like it or not but its a keeper on my list

Piers is EXACTLY what Charlottesville needed!!! I tried the boil, and the flavors were perfect! I also tried to fried shrimp basket and chicken Cajun pasta, and it was so flavorful! My sisters tried the chicken tenders and steak and crab dip and said they were flavorful and moist!!! The veggies were so good and even better with their house made sauce. My server was so attentive and made me feel like he was excited to be there. Highly recommend this seafood!!!! Great place

We had a great experience here. The boil bag was 9/10 only due to the fact I couldn’t eat my corn and that’s my favorite part of the bag. The corn is undercooked. Like chewy. The lobster roll comes cold we didn’t like it. The cat fish 10/10 ! And the fries ! I got the pier blend hot I probably will only do the bags here because the other food wasn’t too good The crab dip 1/10 the chips taste old and were Tostitos.
